Nastia Korkia

Nastia Korkia ist eine in Russland geborene Filmregisseurin, die seit 2022 zwischen Deutschland und Frankreich lebt.

Nach ihrem Philologie-Studium an der Lomonossow-Universität Moskau absolvierte sie eine Regieausbildung an der Moscow School of New Cinema bei Regisseur Bakur Bakuradze sowie in Kuba im Rahmen einer Meisterklasse von Werner Herzog an der EICTV.

Sie ist Alumna der Berlinale Talents und erhielt ihren MFA im DocNomads Erasmus-Programm, das von einem Konsortium aus drei Universitäten in Portugal, Ungarn und Belgien durchgeführt wird.

Ihr Dokumentarfilm GES-2 feierte 2021 Premiere bei den 78. Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Venedig. Ihre Werke wurden unter anderem bei IDFA, der Berliner Kritikerwoche, DOK Leipzig, True/False und dem Sheffield DocFest gezeigt.

Nastia Korkia is a Russian born film director who has lived between Germany and France since 2022.
Having graduated in philology from the Moscow State University, she learned directing at the Moscow School of New Cinema
with director Bakur Bakuradze and in Cuba at EICTV masterclass of Werner Herzog.

She is a Berlinale Talents alumna and received her MFA from DocNomads Erasmus Program delivered by a consortium
of three universities in Portugal, Hungary and Belgium.

Her documentary feature film "GES-2" was premiered at 78th Venice Film Festival in 2021. Her works
were screened at IDFA, Berlin Critics Week, DOK Leipzig, True/False, Sheffield DocFest, among others.
