Martin Neumeyer was born in Kassel in October 1984. He studied visual communication at the School of Arts in Kassel and cinematography at Hamburg Media School. Since 2012, he has been working internationally as a freelance director of photography.
For his work on the Icelandic feature The Swan, which premiered at TIFF in 2017, he was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Edda Awards. Kokon was the opening film at the Berlinale Generation section in 2020 and won Best Cinematography at the German Film Critics Award.
The TV film So laut du kannst was awarded Best TV Film at the Filmfest München in 2022 and was nominated for the German TV Award as Best Film in 2023. Martin Neumeyer also took over the cinematography in the new season of the successful TV series Charité, which will be released in 2024.

Martin Neumeyer wurde 1984 in Kassel geboren. Er studierte visuelle Kommunikation an der Kunsthochschule Kassel und Bildgestaltung an der Hamburg Media School. Seit 2012 arbeitet er als DoP in internationalen Filmproduktionen.
Für seine Arbeit an dem isländischen Film The Swan, der 2017 auf dem TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) Premiere feierte, wurde er für den Edda Award in Beste Bildgestaltung nominiert. Mit Kokon, Eröffnungsfilm der Berlinale-Sektion Generation in 2020, gewann er den Preis der deutschen Filmkritik in Beste Bildgestaltung.
Der Fernsehfilm So laut du kannst wurde 2022 als bester TV-Film auf dem Filmfest München ausgezeichnet und war als bester Film 2023 für den Deutschen Fernsehpreis nominiert. Martin Neumeyer übernahm ebenfalls die Bildgestaltung der neuen Staffel der TV-Erfolgsreihe Charité, welche 2024 veröffentlicht wird.
